Now based in Long Beach, his sculptures, installations, and murals honor the stories of migration and healing within the Cambodian community. As Associate Program Director at the United Cambodian Community and a leader of the Cambodia Town Mural Project, Sayon creates spaces for intergenerational storytelling and artmaking. Sue Perkins

Sue Perkins grew up in Yorba Linda, California and when she wasn’t swimming or playing water polo, she would spend hours sitting on the floor next to her parents’ console stereo listening to music, poring over album covers, liner notes and lyrics while singing along with the records. She attended her very first concert, Donny Osmond at Angel Stadium when she was just seven years old. Ten years later she went with some high school friends to see The Pretenders at the Orange Pavillion in San Bernardino; her first unchaperoned concert.

Back in the day, Sue drove a school bus through the mean streets of Long Beach and she has some wild stories to tell you about that next time!
